SlateI just re-tiled my fireplace and used some different color slate. The problem I am having is when I grouted the tile I got some grout into the natural crevases in the stone. I sealed the tiles before I put the grout in and am waiting to figure out how to remove the offending grout before sealing again. Please if anyone knows how to get the grout out of the little cracks and textures I would appreciate any information you could give me.

Hi,
You can mix up a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water to loosen up the grout and scrub out with a stiff nylon brush. Test the slate first to make sure the vinegar does not alter the color. Then you can reseal.
Hope this helps.
