Lots of questions from a beginner:

We live in W. Colorado and plan to upgrade two counter tops to granite in the near future.  Both counters are straight, one just under 11 feet with a sind about 3 feet from one end, the other is just under 40 inches long.  The counters are about 25 1/2 inches deep.  All surfaces are currentlycovered in Fomica laminate over two pieces of 3/4 inch exterior grade plywood.  Questions:
1. Can granite be applied over the formica if the installer agrees it is in good condition and is a strong enough base?
2. Advantages/disadvantages of below counter level sinks?
3. Is your sealer product a technician-only application?  If not, how complicated is it for the homeowner with above average home repair skills?
4.  If the product is technician-only application, how do we find a technician for western Colorado?
5.  Your site leaves me with the impression that you can do the entire job--fabicate, seal and install the granite.  Is that right?  If so, how do we find someone for western Colorado?
6. Finally, my impression is that after you have sealed granite using your product, routine surface cleaning with a non-abrasive liquid cleaner is all that should ever beneeded. Am I correct?

Thanks for the answers.
Doug

Hi Doug,

You can purchase granite through Granite Shield Countertops retail showroom, from one of the fabricators that is an authorized Granite Shield applicator or have your granite installed by someone of your choice and have one of Granite Shield's applicators apply the Granite Shield sealing process. Granite Shield does have a granite fabricator in Colorado Davinci Granite in Denver. When granite is installed the existing countertop is removed. We currently have 2 Granite Shield applicators in Colorado that can apply the process to your granite countertops should you choose to buy it from someone other than Davinci Granite. Most homeowners and homebuyers prefer the sink under the granite that has a double sink. Some homeowners now are choosing the single sink but many homebuyers may choose not to buy a home for that one reason. Hope this answers your questions.

Thanks,
Sealing Technologies Management
